Alex's work is founded on two fundamental principles:
- Learning (i.e. creating new brain pathways) is the most important thing for a human being
- Cultivating sensitivity and awareness is the best way to reduce violence against ourselves and others
"If you don't know what you're doing, you can't do what you want." - Moshe Feldenkrais
Alex’s passion is promoting learning and personal growth that is guided by interest and curiosity and grounded in a visceral feeling of worthiness and safety. Her fascination is synthesizing unique disciplines to offer individuals a range of perspectives and approaches to empower them to learn, improve their well-being, and achieve their goals. Alex emphasizes change that is sustainable, lasting, and rooted in systems thinking. She values critical thinking, addressing the root cause of complex problems, and having the foresight and awareness of influences on the entire system. Alex is insistent that her role is to create the conditions for learning and support the process, thereby empowering individuals with agency to create their own health and maintain their individual autonomy.
